Full-Time Action Pastor

Southridge Community Church is seeking an “Action Pastor”—more commonly known as a Missions or Outreach Pastor. Our church exists to foster a lifestyle of full devotion to Jesus Christ that shares His love across the Niagara Region. As a multi-site church with 3 locations (St. Catharines, Welland and Vineland), where each location is most defined by its missional “Anchor Cause” of compassion and justice (including the largest homeless shelter in the Niagara Region), the Action Pastor role at Southridge is critical to our overall growth and health as a church community.
The role of the Action Pastor at Southridge is to continue expanding on and strengthening the effectiveness of our local and global “Anchor Causes”. The primary responsibilities of the role would be to drive the missional vision of the church, growing our effectiveness in compassionately serving marginalized people (including the homeless, sole-support families and migrant farm workers) through providing experiential (learning-by-doing) discipleship opportunities for our congregation that also create new ‘front doors’ of evangelistic accessibility to those outside the church and faith community.
The church is looking for a vision-driven, results-oriented spiritually-mature leader who can implement strategy through a team of staff leaders. They must be an effective communicator who can instill trust with a wide range of stakeholders. This is a Southridge Leadership Team position reporting directly to the Lead Pastor, so the Action Pastor also integrates the compassion and justice values throughout the rest of the church, requiring a strong collaborator. Previous experience and related education would be a considerable asset.
