Community Setting
We are located in south-east Saskatoon but have members who come from as far away as Hanley to the south, Clavet to the east, Warman to the north, and the west side of Saskatoon. The area immediately around the church is largely residential and composed of a mixture of single family rental and owned units with a large nearby concentration of high rises that are retirement condos and assisted living units. According to research done within recent years, this area has the highest population of seniors in Saskatoon. There is a substantial commercial area 1km to the north (8th Street) and we are bordered on the east and south by Circle Drive, the main highway around Saskatoon. We are 2.5km from the University of Saskatchewan and the Royal University Hospital. The area south of Circle Drive is a rapidly growing commercial and residential district with mixed singly family and multiple family dwellings.

Pastoral Profile
In our search for an associate pastor, we are looking for a seasoned, humble, servant leader who is passionate about raising others up to serve and follow Jesus. They are a person with life and ministry experience and are natural “capacity builders” marked by the following characteristics:

In Personal Life:
1. Dependent on God
• experiences a healthy relationship with God and understands the heart of spiritual disciplines as a way to hear from God
• motivated by a surrender to his call rather than by personal ambition or neediness
• seeks times of personal renewal where perspective can be restored and God can be heard

2. Personally Balanced/Healthy
• enjoys friendships outside of ministry
• has outside interests and hobbies – beyond work
• knowledgeable and comfortable with who they are – as a result they know their limitations and are able to set personal boundaries
• if married, enjoys their spouse’s full support (i.e. They share a love for the church and have agreement on their respective roles and involvement in ministry). They model wholesome (not perfect) family life and deliberately protect their time so as to maintain healthy balance
• a self starter (comes with batteries!) who experiences set backs without defeat and in adversity acts with integrity
