Part-Time Benefits and Payroll Support

MB Mission is looking for someone to join our Finance team in Abbotsford to serve in a part-time role in international benefits and supervision of payroll.
As an ideal candidate, you are a detail-oriented person with a heart for missions who is sensing a call to leverage all of your unique talents right now unto an inheritance that will last for eternity. You are an energetic team player and an organized self-starter who delights in accuracy and discretion. In addition to handling benefits, you are intrigued with the challenge of learning to oversee bi-national payrolls and to work in two different currencies.
In terms of practical skills, your experience with benefit plans positions you well to step into our world of self-insured coverages, working with a couple different TPAs. You are fascinated by the complexities inherent in having staff in two significantly different legislative and health care environments, not to mention missionaries on almost every continent. You are also comfortable in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word and might have encountered providers such as Payworks and Paychex.
At the moment, this is a paid part-time role, approximately 15-20 hours per week, but the scope and level of engagement is open to discussion.
MB Mission is the global mission agency of Mennonite Brethren churches in the US and Canada. We focus on the holistic planting of churches in least-reached areas around the world. We send short-term and long-term teams to work with local pastors and churches, and we partner with community development projects serving children, teens and families.
