Full-Time Fundraising & Marketing Coordinator

The Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator (FMC) is responsible to assist the Executive Director in creating effective fundraising events and to coordinate all marketing and donor communication. The successful candidate will be a hard worker, detail oriented and willing to work on a team. The FMC will be accountable to the Executive Director (ED).
Responsibilities in regard to Donor Development
o Develop the philosophy and long-term communication strategy for development that includes operational giving and capital campaigns.
o Have a keen knowledge of donor giving patterns in order to prioritize donor communication.
o Coordinate all the phone calls to thank donors and to ensure that all donors are appropriately cared for.
o Identify potential donors and set targets for reaching new donors every year.
o Prioritize, plan, and book all the ED’s donor visitations on a weekly basis in consultation with the ED’s assistant.
o Identify new grant opportunities that fit with ICYA priorities.
o Coordinate the writing process in consultation with appropriate ICYA Staff (Program or Administrative).
o Complete the majority of the actual writing of grants for both program funding and any capital campaigns conducted by ICYA.
o Organize and coordinate all reporting on grants in consultation with accounting and program staff.
o Communicate and coordinate all grant writing activity with the Administration department in timely ways.
Responsibilities in regard to Fundraising and Events Planning
o Initiation of a plan to do annual fundraising events (eg. Annual Gala and others).
o Plan and coordinate donor appreciation events.
o Develop fundraising events that promote programs at ICYA.
o Organize our annual gala event and to lead our event planning team.
o Provide a monthly summary of development activity to the Executive Director (Phone log, donor contact information, and other activities).
Responsibilities in regard to Communication and Marketing
o Coordinate the production of and mail out of the quarterly newsletter as well as any other mail outs for the purpose of marketing or events.
o Work closely with our marketing company to ensure that messaging and communications fits our brand and to help ICYA develop and maintain a strong brand in the community.
o Maintain all of our social media including our website, Facebook, and other such media.
o Develop a marketing philosophy including: research, message development, and ongoing evaluation of the communication strategies. This is to be done in consultation with the ED.

• Maintain a vibrant spiritual life and to seek to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the reading of the scriptures, prayer, and personal discipleship.
• Allow time for the spiritual disciplines in their life. Quarterly retreat times for the purpose of prayer, fasting, and quiet reflection are encouraged. A personal mentor or accountability group is recommended as support in their ministry.
• Seek out training opportunities that will better equip them for ministry.
