Full-Time Lead Pastor

Lead & Teaching Pastor Responsibility 1: Teaching (1 1/2 days): development of the major areas to cover as a church through-out the year. Preparing the messages 40-45 per year, oversight of home church question development and teaching CDs for series. Working with the preaching team at each age group to maximize the development of the congregation to reach our 10 year goals for people. Responsibility 2: Leadership of the Church & Finances (1 day): staff and board meetings. Meeting with staff, team leaders, and the board to develop their personal potential. Oversee job evaluations and job descriptions. Oversight of all marketing for the church. Oversee the financial decisions including: preliminary draft of the budget, and management of the budget set by the lead pastor and board, planning for annualmeeting, and oversight of the treasurer, counting teams, dd, and banking. Responsibility 3: Sunday Morning (2/3 day): going over message preaching, kissing babies and shaking hands, praying with people, spiritual oversight. Development of the Sunday morning experience with the staff team. Follow up with people after the service. Responsibility 4: Adherent Care & Counseling (1/2 day): Follow up with people in the church to get connected. Speaking with prayer leader, pastor of care, and counselor to ensure proper care of members and adherents. Dealing with any issues or problems with members of the church. Follow up with people in the church to get connected. Meetings with people in the church, prior to referring them to Ken, or problems people have that get escalated. Responsibility 5: Branding/Marketing, Outreach & Networking (1/3 day): Meetings with other church leaders, people in the community, and leading new people into the church. Development of website and facebook to better reach our target audience. Creating a brand and advertising plan for the church, and executing that plan. Organization of any major events for the church in conjunction with the administrative pastor at the church (i.e. volunteer thank you, soccer camp, teachers BBQ). Create a community outreach run by the church for the start of school year (family Drive-in). Connect with the community association board to be involved in events for the church: Christmas event; Santa Clause parade, Canada Day, etc. Responsibility 6: Vision (1/3 day): determining the direction and steps the church will take in consultation with the board and staff,

-staffing -changing the mindset of the congregation from single cell -developing new groups -leadership development -stay outward focused -address barriers (seating, location that can hold that many …)
- Getting us to start Orleans
-staffing & lead team -equipment, location, etc.
- Getting us a plan to get land and a building
