RockRidge Canyon is a Young Life camping property set in a breathtaking mountain valley near Princeton, B.C., Canada.
At RockRidge Canyon, teenagers are treated to the resort-quality facilities for which Young Life has become known. Kids can get away from the pressures of everyday life, have fun with friends and their Young Life leaders, and hear the message of God’s love in terms they can understand. Young Life camping involves high adventure, lots of fun, great food and excellent speakers. Each year, more than 2,000 kids from across Canada and as far away as Europe or Asia, spend a week at RockRidge Canyon, having an experience that many describe as the best of their lives. From September through June, when not hosting Young Life camps, RockRidge Canyon rents its excess capacity, serving as a conference and retreat centre for businesses, churches, and schools.

About the Job
Reporting to the Site & Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Worker performs minor building repairs and maintenance on all RockRidge Canyon buildings, equipment and grounds in a manner consistent with the quality standard of Young Life. Tasks include the efficient and safe operation of all tools and machinery both for you and anyone under your supervision.
This is a permanent, full-time position located in Princeton, BC, Canada.

You have a high school diploma and a minimum of three years recent related experience. A TQ (technically qualified) certificate in a trade or a building operator certificate is an asset.
You have a good knowledge of painting, dry-wall repair, and the basics of carpentry. You are able to inspect, assess, and determine repair requirements, and perform minor non-licensed repairs for heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation, with skills in plumbing, and electrical systems. You are very familiar with building fire and safety regulations and procedures and have moderate familiarity with the building code requirements for repairs.
You are a self-starter committed to finishing the work at hand in a quality manner. You have good oral communication skills, and are a team player.

You have a valid Class 5 driver license. A clean Driver’s Abstract is required. WHIMS training an asset. Standard (Level I) First Aid certification an asset.
