Part-time MBCI Event Coordinator

Job Description

Job Summary:

As part of the Advancement and Recruitment Team, the Event Coordinator takes a lead role in organizing and managing event logistics for MBCI’s fundraising, recruitment events and alumni reunions, in addition to maintaining the alumni and donor database.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Director of Advancement and Recruitment and event committees to coordinate all plans and logistics for MBCI’s major fundraising events
  • In conjunction with PR Manager, assist with event donor communications and promotions
  • Assist with creating and maintaining event plans, event materials and post-event reports
  • Provide guidance and direction to the Parent Association, with respect to the logistics of community school events
  • Provide support to other fundraising initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with alumni classes to assist in the planning and organization of 10, 25, 50 and 60 year reunions
  • Maintain and update donor/alumni database
  • Assist with the planning, organization and logistics of student recruitment events

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in event coordination
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven creativity
