Job Description

The Manitoba MCC Thrift Shop coordinator provides a vital link in the day to day relationships and operations between the Manitoba network of MCC Thrift Shops and MCC Manitoba. The Coordinator is directly responsible to the Associate Director of Social Enterprise.

There are 16 MCC Thrift shops in 13 communities across Manitoba contributing over $3 million to financially support the work of MCC. Each shop is owned and operated by an autonomous volunteer Board of Directors and managed by paid or volunteer managers and management teams. The MCC Thrift Shop Coordinator will work closely with all Shop Managers or management teams to assist and inspire the shops in daily operations, strengthening their ministry and building up business aspects of the shops.

The Coordinator will be the primary day to day contact with the shops and provide advice, support and resources to help build towards best practices in shop operations in accordance with the values and principles of MCC. This will include creating or providing access to relevant marketing and communication materials such as talking points, brochures and logo graphic standards. The Coordinator will also be responsible for preparing consolidated monthly financial reporting on performance measures, sales and contributions, and other indicators. This includes data collection and maintenance of the monthly, quarterly and annual dashboard results for Social Enterprise. The Coordinator will also work closely in collaboration with the Thrift Retail Assistant.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours/ week), salaried position. This position requires regular evening and weekend work, frequent travel within Manitoba, and occasional international travel.
