Full-time Nutrition and Food Security Advisor
MCC does not implement its own program in Afghanistan, but works with other local partners. Learning Dari language in Kabul will be the priority for the first six months of the assignment.
The Nutrition and Food Security Advisor will work closely with MCC Afghanistan’s partner, providing advice and training to the nutrition and food security work being carried out across the country. A significant part of the work includes planning, monitoring, and evaluation of projects. The position will require a lot of travel and initiative.
The base location for this position is somewhat flexible as it could be in Kabul or one of the three rural locations where the MCC partner is implementing the nutrition and food security work (Lal, Maimana, and Faizabad).
The start date for this three-year assignment is January 26, 2015.
MCC requires all workers to be committed to a personal Christian faith, have active membership in or demonstrated commitment to and participation in a local Christian church, and be committed to non-violent biblical peacemaking.
How to ApplyInterested individuals are asked to submit a cover letter and resume online or to their nearest MCC office. View the entire assignment description on the MCC website at http://mcccanada.ca/get-involved/serve/position/nutrition-food-security-advisor.
