Full-time Peace Education Specialist
The MCC service worker will serve with EDUPAZ, (Foundation for Peace Education and Conflict Resolution), which is a foundation created by the Regional Council of the Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches of Cali to accompany organizational processes of the Mennonite Brethren (MB) churches in the Cauca Valley Region of Colombia and to carry out peace education with children and youth. The worker will primarily be developing new materials and systematizing existing resources related to peace education for use in both churches and schools programs. The MBs have been in Cali and Valle de Cauca for more than 70 years and have more than 20 congregations in this region. The worker will be directly supervised by the director of EDUPAZ and work as part of the EDUPAZ team based out of the city of Cali.
The start date for this three-year assignment is July 12, 2015.
