Faculty Position – Psychology
The Faculty of Social Sciences at CMU invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Psychology. Possible areas of specialization include, but are not limited to, neuropsychology, cultural psychology, clinical/counseling psychology, community psychology, or developmental psychology. The successful candidate will work in our undergraduate Psychology program with existing faculty members who have a range of social science backgrounds and teach in several established programs. We seek individuals who have the capacity to help to build an exciting and growing Psychology program, while contributing a complementary specialty to current strengths of the faculty.
CMU is a liberal arts university rooted in the Anabaptist tradition of Christianity, and engages faculty to teach and pursue scholarship within that framework. Applicants should hold a PhD or be near completion of their doctorate, have a solid theoretical and methodological background, a strong record of scholarly research, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
Subject to final budgetary approval, the appointment will begin July 1, 2014. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications will begin October 31, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
