The Wellspring Foundation has a mandate to be a catalyst for transforming education in Africa and to foster vibrant communities that address poverty in all its forms. Headquartered in Langley BC, Canada and expanding in Rwanda and Eastern Africa, Wellspring is a growing development agency, focusing on innovative solutions to address the need to empower a new generation and bring transformational change through quality Christian values-based education.

The Wellspring Foundation for Education (Wellspring) has built a strong foundation, established a gifted team, and is undergoing significant growth as we expand our work in education in the majority world. We are looking for a Rwanda Country Director who will be a critical part of our team as we head into this next season.

Located at the Wellspring offices in Kigali, Rwanda and leading our Rwandan-based team of over forty staff in multiple locations, you will work closely with the Canadian-based Chief Executive Officer, the leadership team, and senior Wellspring Rwanda staff in our efforts to support quality education. You will oversee our Rwanda operations, including our innovative School Development Program, our work with the Association of Christian Schools in Rwanda, Wellspring’s Abundant Leadership Institute, and the variety of other projects and partnerships we are deeply engaged in throughout the region. You will also oversee our relationships with the government and other development organizations as we support systemic change to educational practices in Rwanda and beyond.

You should be a committed Christian with a strong background in international development and leadership. You should be passionate about Wellspring’s vision and mission and be able to clearly explain how you could contribute to our strategic growth. You should be a capable leader with a track record of building strategy, leading teams, and managing projects.

A bachelor’s degree is required with a master’s degree preferred, preferably in education or international development at a globally recognized institution. With at least ten years of leadership and international development experience, you have the ability to fit into our creative and innovative team.

A completive salary and benefits package, as well as international relocation expenses, will be offered, commensurate with experience.

Anticipated Start Date: Summer/Fall 2018
