Contact/Relationships:
The ED is expected to provide overall Manitoba leadership to the relief, development and peace building work of MCC, to be in relationship with the primary and secondary MCC stakeholders and to embody the voice of the organization, both internally and externally with the media and among provincial government officials. The ED cultivates relationships among provincial leaders of constituent conferences and with partner bodies. Complexity/Competencies:
The ED is a member of the Canadian ED group alongside the EDs from other provincial MCCs and MCC Canada. MCC Manitoba is legally a not-for-profit charity that is accountable to its members. The ED exercises a high level of independent action and decision-making to meet the goals of the MCC Manitoba board.
The ED uses innovative and creative approaches to implement and evaluate organizational goals, exercising prudence and good judgment in consultation with the board chair on any issue that could jeopardize the organization’s well-being. Performance is measured over long intervals and in terms of substantial impact on the organization.

As described, the ED has authority to make decisions impacting organization-wide program and operations as long as they remain within the scope of the overall MCC system and strategic priorities.
