Children’s Ministry Director

Children’s Ministry Director:

South Abbotsford Church is a vibrant multi-generational church, with many children and their families. We are looking for someone to come alongside our Children’s ministries to help direct a robust Jesus-centered ministry. This Director role partners with the Family Ministries Pastor to execute the many gatherings and programs offered at South Abbotsford Church.

Job Description & Highlights:

– Plan and execute the Kids Quest program (Sunday mornings) from nursery up to Grade 5, in partnership with the Family Ministries Pastor.
– Coordinate the mid-week Kids Club (elementary school).
– Plan and execute a community-geared summer day camp program (aka Summer Blast).
– Be a resource for parents and communicate regularly with the families involved.
– Assist the Family Ministries pastor in recruiting and training volunteers.
– Carry out the administrative duties for the programs.

Qualification and Qualities:

– A love for kids and young families.
– A passion for Jesus and a heart to point people to Jesus at every stage of their walk.
– Competencies in the administrative and logistical duties of the role.
– Must affirm the BCMB Confession of Faith.
– Preference given to those with prior experience in children’s’ ministry.

Salary & Hours:

Hours, .75 to Full Time (exempt position). Salary is negotiable based upon hours, experience & education. Suggested Range $50,000 to $54,000
