Position: Coffee Shop Manager, Mennonite Heritage Museum
The Mennonite Heritage Museum Coffee Shop exists to provide food services for museum guests while they are visiting the facility. The Coffee Shop provides food and beverages to customers, museum hosted events and tour groups. This position reflects the vision and goals of the Mennonite Heritage Museum and is an integral part of Museum outreach, education and community relationship building.
The Coffee Shop Manager oversees the implementation of policies, protocols, and procedures of food service to a high level of excellence, ensuring safe food practices and compliance with Fraser Health Standards. In addition, this position is responsible for all aspects of food preparation, customer service and overall management of systems in order to run an efficient coffee shop. The successful applicant will provide financial management including daily electronic and cash operations, reporting and budgeting; human resources scheduling and training; and inventory supplies management. The Coffee Shop Manager provides positive leadership and identifies opportunities for growth and innovative projects.
- Minimum 3 years of food service experience in the food industry, such as a restaurant, bakery, catering, or similar setting required;
- Minimum 1 year supervisory or team leading experience within food services, hospitality or similar setting that includes experience with supervision of staff or volunteers, budgeting, sales, and inventory management.
- Current Foodsafe Level 1 Certification (or willing to certify)
- Basic First Aid an asset
Salary includes benefits and is commensurate with education and experience for this Full Time position.
