Seeking a Part-Time (20Hrs/Week) Communications Director. Please see the following job description and apply if interested. Job pay scale has already been board approved, will discuss more with applicants.

 

Communications Director:

  • Create and manage the development and implementation of an integrated communications strategy/plan, supporting the organization’s strategic plan and develop and direct all media programs – electronic and print.
  • The job will be carried out on site, with communications the primary responsibility, with secondary responsibilities including office administrative support.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Communication

  • Develop and manage internal church communication & social media
  • Construct branding, graphics & messaging for use on all digital and communication platforms.
  • Drive Church messaging to the website. Update website with relevant information on a weekly basis.
  • Pro-actively identify projects or tasks that need to be completed.
  • Collect information from appropriate ministries; write, edit and publish events, alerts, statements, articles, and other materials in support of the organizations brand/mission.
Administrative Support

  • Provide office support by responding to phone calls & emails or forwarding them to the proper staff while in the office.
  • Assist with booking and supporting 3rd party groups using the building. Done in partnership with Pastor overseeing Admin.

Communications Director Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • High familiarity with various social media platforms, running multiple accounts, content creation, and scheduling.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or previous experience in Graphic Design & Communication.

Requested:

  • Highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies internally with staff.
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
  • Experience with branding and communications campaigns.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
