Full-time Faculty: Youth Work Program Director
Columbia Bible College invites applications for a 1.0 FTE faculty position within its Youth Work department. This position involves both teaching and program leadership/administration. We are open to different configurations of this role depending on the unique strengths and aspirations of the successful candidate.
Columbia’s Youth Work program prepares students for a variety of ministry and service opportunities in both church and parachurch settings. The successful candidate will have graduate level training in a relevant field (e.g. youth ministry, pastoral ministry, or biblical-theological studies) and strong teaching abilities.
Columbia’s academic programs prioritize a practical-theological approach which focuses on the connection between theory and practice. Given this, we have a strong preference for candidates with practical experience in their primary teaching area. In this case, we see value in a candidate’s demonstrated capacity in the areas of mentoring youth, working with volunteers, and developing leaders, as well as a clear understanding of our cultural context and its implications for youth work.
