Part-time Ministry Internship
As you have grown in your relationship with Christ, and found ways to serve him and his church in ministry, have you sensed that God might be calling you into vocational ministry? Are you wanting a deeper confirmation of whether the work of a pastor or ministry leader is part of your life’s calling? Do you want to deepen your relationship with Christ in the context of a thriving church ministry team?
Through practical service, personal mentoring, intentional equipping, and participation in a lively team environment, partnered with a strong seminary education through MB Seminary, NLCC’s paid, part-time Internship Program is designed to equip emerging leaders for pastoring or church planting, with special concern for the future leaders of the Mennonite Brethren movement of churches.
It’s open to university or college graduates who have been affirmed as gifted and potentially called to vocational ministry, and who want to pursue further ministry and academic training for vocational ministry.
The first year of the Ministry Internship includes a funded Ministry Foundations Certificate and a 3-credit practicum course at MB Seminary.
After this first year, if a Ministry Intern decides to continue studies toward a seminary degree, he or she may be invited to continue their Ministry Internship at NLCC for up to two additional years, concurrent with studies.
Ministry opportunities will be available in areas such as:
- Youth Ministry
- Adult & Young Adult Ministries
- Worship Ministries
- Church/Campus Planting Initiatives
